Degree plan consists of 27 semester hours in bilingual and elementary education and a minor of twelve hours in reading, early childhood, secondary education, gifted/ talented education, educational administration, and special education.

Minor, Latin American Studies-University of Houston

​UH's Latin American Studies Minor and Program (LAST) in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is designed to encourage study and teaching relating to the important geographic and cultural area of Latin America. 
A minor in Latin American Studies (LAST) requires a minimum of 18 semester hours: six hours of required coursework (LAST 3300, plus either a 3000-level Spanish-language course); three 3000- or 4000-level courses and independent study research.
